Online Language Learning Platform Uses Outbrain to Drive Registrations and App Downloads on a Global Scale

Babbel began by trialing Outbrain with just one article – “10 tips and tricks to learn a language”. After seeing positive results Babbel expanded the campaign and it now uses Outbrain to promote a broad range of content across different countries, languages, and platforms. The number of registrations coming from the amplification of the magazine’s content increased by a three-digit percentage in the first month in which Babbel worked with Outbrain. Outbrain became one of Babbel’s biggest traffic providers driving 4.5 million users each month to the magazine, 80% of which are new.

EverQuote Scales Conversions With Lookalike Audiences

The Outbrain lookalike campaign drove impressive results for EverQuote, not only besting the performance of past Outbrain campaigns that didn’t use this feature but also exceeding EverQuote’s CPA goal. The lookalike approach ensured that audiences who were served with EverQuote content were truly qualified, since they were modeled on past site visitors' interests and behaviors. Compared to the prior campaigns, the lookalike mobile CPA was 23% lower and the desktop CPA was 19% lower. The CPA also exceeded EverQuote’s goal by 25% on mobile and 11% on desktop. Most importantly, EverQuote saw a 52% increase in conversions with Outbrain Lookalike Audiences.

When the consumer opts in, by clicking on the content, the teaser video plays.
